Open numbers

How Plonix
is used.

Totals from installs that chose to share anonymous statistics. No URLs, hosts or anything people type ever leave their computer, and no group smaller than five installs is shown.

Last 30 daysUpdated hourlyGroups under 5 installs hidden

Every day.

Installs that used Plonix on each day. A striped day had fewer than five, so its number is hidden.

What people use.

The share of active installs that used each feature at least once in the last 30 days.

Where the time goes.

Hours with Plonix in front and in use, by screen. A minute counts only while the window has focus and someone is working in it.

Who uses it.

Each install counted once, as it was on its latest report.

How big projects get.

Sizes in ranges, never exact numbers. Each range shows how many installs had a project of that size.

Rejected and filtered.

Only well-known third-party services are named. Any other rejected host is counted as "other" and never reported by name. Filters are counted by kind, never by what was typed.

Most rejected domains

Installs that put each domain out of scope

Most used filters

Installs that searched Traffic with each kind of term

Downloads.

From the release files on GitHub. Automatic updates on the Mac are counted apart.

How these numbers are made.

Opt in

Plonix asks on first launch, with the box unticked. Settings shows the exact report before it is sent, and turning it off deletes everything kept.

Counts, not content

Feature names, minutes per screen, size ranges and a fixed list of known domains. Never traffic, URLs, hosts, paths, IPs or text.

Five or more

A number shows only when at least five installs are behind it. Smaller groups fold into "other" or stay hidden.
